So now that the mascara thread has been established, what cosmetic products do you like? What colors do you like to use?
Personaly, I like gold, tan, and bronze colors because I have Latina skin tone.

I use E'scargot, its a french product, organic.

I like Mac for lipsticks, Viva Glam 1 is my fave when my hair is super primary red, and I like the Viva Glam 4 (I think? the nude one) gloss for every day. Since my hair changes shades frequently, I have to change up my cosmetic shades with it. I like red eyeshadow when I'm feeling dramatic, but that I get from professional theatrical make-up. One of my many tricks.
I use bronzes and browns when my hair is more coppery, like now. And I have a really fun green shimmery eyeshadow I pull out on occasion.

The only make-up I wear every single day is black liquid eyeliner, and I have since I was about 15. If I decide to skip it on a whim, people tell me I look tired and ask if I'm ok.

Everything else is just for fun, or when I feel like a boost.

My favourite base is by Chanel, it stays looking great on your skin for hours, I also use their mascara. Lipstick/lipgloss, I use most any as long as I like the colour. Right now I like Plum/Aubergine on my eyes.

Being simple folk,
I just rely on soap & water.

However, I have been known to put baby-powder on my crotch for those special occasions (i.e. spur of the moment booty-calls).

I use InterFace's Cream Foundation in the color "Gazelle" and Flori Roberts Lipstick in colors for cool toned people. I like to try different kinds. I also love Iman's Cream to powder foundation in Clay 5 as well as her lipstick in the color Misdemeanor.

I also use InterFace's skin care system for Normal to Dry skin and have also used and do like Flori Roberts Enlighten for women of color.


I also use M.A.C. Lipglass in "Oh Baby" and their Eyebrow pencil in the color "Stud".

The shades are by Flori Roberts but believe me, the formulation is really no different. Just click on "face" up at the top and then "Flori Roberts Compact Face Powder" from the selection, to see the shades.

I use browns/bronze/pink/mauve shades mostly...various brands, but all oil-free.

Is this about brands? Or what we use?

Well, I moistureize with w/whatever I have at the time, rite now its some Dove shit.

Then I don't use cover up on my whole face, I just put it from my lids to brows, cuz it helps shadow sty on longer.

I usually use a pinkinsh or grayish shadow. But I'll use any color, I'm pretty experimaental with that. I like mauves and plums too.

For my lips I usually just use gloss, but when I wear a shade its usually a nudish pinkish color.

I use little to no make-up, but when I do I use Clarins. I also use Clarins cleanser, toner and moisturizer.

I wear makeup only about twice a year but when I do, I wear Iman's pressed powder. Even though it is a little dark for my skintone, it is the closest match I have made.

For the rest, I use tons of Estee Lauder products. I started out just buying an eyeshadow or something, and then realized that I love their products. Including the skin creme that makes me glow under a black light. (Mpls. Invasion people will know what I'm talking about)

I love make-up and am a total product whore when it comes to new colors, formulas, etc. And as I get older, I've realized that I really can't use cheap products at all. It's better to just splurge because it's really worth it.

The only cosmetics I wear are lip stick and occasionally eye-liner other than that nothing.
