The Spirit Awards show This show was so much fun. I'm so glad that QUINCEANERA won. Shareeka Epps won from HALF NELSON, another great movie.
The musical numbers were hilarious!!! Screwed Up Family sung by Taylore Dayne in honor of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE (to the tune of We Are Family), Beauty Is Deceased sung by Loretta Devine in honor of the movie DEAD GIRL (to the tune of Beauty and the Beast). I can't remember the name of the song Minnie Driver did for PAN'S LABYRINTH but it was also hilarious. minnie driver sings? The Spirit Awards are for independent film. It's held a day before the Oscars. I'm a huge fan of independent film so it's always fun to watch. Some of the movies unfortunately have not been showed in my city. Oh yeah Minnie Drive can sing. So can Gwyneth Paltrow, believe it or not.
