Woohoo! My last day at work tomorrow! I start a new job on thursday. My current job is at a huuugue newsstand at Amsterdam station and my new job is arunning a billing dept of a huge shipping co.

At the current job I am saying byebye to everybody and been eating cake for three days now.

And then, yesterday, amidst CRAZINESS, as it was REAL busy and we had not enough people, so we working for three people each, a girl came up to me.

She looked like she was dragged away from the computer or television; a bit on the heavy side, looking like she is used to getting her way; you know the type.

"Can I ask you something?"

I looked at the line of fifteen people in front of my til and said "Suuuuure!"

"Do you have the new Harry Potter?"

At this I just went and

I could not find the right answer immediately, but then sarcasm kicked in, thankfully.

"Hunny, that book is published somewhere in july. In English. The Dutch translation will follow two months after that."

The kid went all and looked ready to cry. Thanks deity her father was there to console her, as I moved to address my next victim, ermmm customer.

YAY for the new job!

Me too. I cannot believe this is my last day at the current job. I have SO buried myself at this job to get through the stuff in my personal life. Even leaving it, crappy job that it is, makes me feel a bit sad.

I have LOADS of great colleagues, some of them I know will be friends fromnow on. I love that feeling.
