Ok , so Im obviously thinking about it . Questions for you guys that have had it done is

1, does it hurt bad having it done and how long does it take to heal

2. one or both??

3. does it increase sensitiveity? (im already majorly sensitive there . love to intensify it but at the same time i dont want to kill it.

4. bar or ring? I think the ring is sexier but it seems the bar would be "safer" and not snag on things.

neutral

1. It hurts like a bitch. If you're into that, it's fun. If not, you tolerate it. smile

2. BOTH. Personally hate the asymmetrical look.

3. You need to be prepared for the possibility of it going either way. Most people seem to get an increase in sensitivity, me included, but it is possible to end up with nerve damage, especially on the off chance that you get an infection or something.

4. Bars are better for healing. They weigh less, will pull on the peircing less, and yeah, they may be less likely to be bumped or snagged.

I am NOT into pain, and I can't imagine that the actual piercing process ever being "fun".

Although it felt pretty cool the next day. wink

Yeah, the next day is very interesting. mr.green

I had trouble getting mine to heal (ultimately had to remove them), but I had one re-pierced before I gave up. The first time I had them pierced I was in a place where the pain was. . . if not "fun". . .good. The second time, I wasn't really in that headspace, and it sucked. lol

It HURTs. Like HELL. I had them both done and I actually screamed out loud on the second one, completely involuntarily. I was a little embarrassed actually. redface

I also couldn't stand up for about half an hour. I'm quite sensitive to the adrenaline and other stuff that rushes through you during and after. I was honestly 'high' and giddy for hours.

And it really did hurt for days. Not in an unbearble kind of way, but I was literally painfully aware of my nipples for at least a week or more. It's a very odd sensation.

I had both of mine professionally done back in 2003. I wanted my chest to look symetrical so I had both done. At first I had small rings -- at the advice of the piercer who said they were easier to keep clean. (You just give them a couple of spins with antibacterial soap. Another friend recommended using contact lense solution to clean them. Trust me, you wanna keep them clean!!!) When I got tired of having the "mini" jewelry, I got thicker gauged rings after a year or so. I was able to change one out into a barbell (see the pic) but still prefer the rings

In June, I had to take them out for some tests & surgery I was having done for kidney problems. I haven't put them back in and don't know if I will or should.
