I think the foliage is quite similar, but it's probably not quite the same. And I think Vermont probably has a quaintness about it that's not quite the same anywhere either. |

That's the thing that really makes it, although you get some of that in New Hampshire, Maine and parts of Massachusetts, as well. I really liked the fact that Vermont is primarily made up of small villages, instead of cites and towns. Not a lot of fast food, starbucks, wal-mart stuff going on anywhere. Also, they don't really have city councils voting on town matters in the villages. Instead, they have monthly town meetings and everyone comes to town hall and votes on just about every town act. It is really one of the only places in America where direct democracy is practiced all of the time. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

i don't mind snow, but i do mind bastids who don't bother to shovel their sidewalks. i couldn't go anywhere yesterday because the person who shovels the sidewalk in front of my apartment didn't get there till around 10 in the morning--usually everything's cleared up way before then, but not this time.

I was out driving around last night -- one of those times when you just want to drive and are willing to accept the possible speeding ticket -- and somebody in a VW decided to take me on. We were just playing and not getting crazy about it, but that little thing was zippy! I was impressed. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

You know, I'm really a cautious and very legal driver, but I'm finding it very easy to speed in my little car. I'm having to be careful and watch myself, when I never really did before. |

I know, it's BAD. I used to be such a granny, back in my Corolla days. Now. . . I'm still careful, but. . . I like to go vroom vroom. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!
