Orgers new albums

In the absence of a new Prince album, why not pretend that you release albums and post your own press release/magazine article about your new one? And if you're excited about any of the press releases/articles other Orgers post here, feel free to discuss them. And if you really do release albums yourself, then this probably isn't the thread for you cos you really are a musician and you'll be rolling your eyes at my stupidity here. Anyhoo...

Haystack's New Album Could Be A Gem

After many rumours, Haystack has now officially announced that the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed 'Cock & Ball Torture Without Prejudice Vol. III' album will be released on April 17th in North America and April 16th in other territories apart from the ones that don't release albums on Mondays or Tuesdays, even. Entitled 'Rubies, Emeralds and Sapphires Don't Mean Shit', the album is a double CD and will include some previously bootlegged material as well as songs recorded in the past three months since CABTWPV3 was released.

Once more, the album will be released on Haystack's own Fuck The Gerbil label and will be preceded by a single, 'Elegant Cumbucket' a fortnight earlier.

Tracklist;

Disc One
1 Welcome To My Orifice
2 Glory of Snot
3 She Visited The Mortuary
4 Elephant Dung
5 Drum Roll, Salad Roll
6 Climax Of The Damned
7 Elegant Cumbucket
8 Cock Trilogy
i On The Flop
ii Plateau Stage
iii Erect As An Obelisk
9 Meet My Herpes

Disc Two
1 Arrange My Flowers (Suicidal Bitch)
2 Creamy Thighs, Scabby Face
3 The Party For Rita's Operation
4 In The Name Of God, Please Kill Yourself
5 Funky But Celine Dion
6 I Dream Of Furries
7 Cod Liver Oil Addiction
8 Brown Stools
9 Capturing Sophie's Bubbles
10 Rabid Cow
11 She Bit My Balls
12 Rubies, Emeralds and Sapphires Don't Mean Shit
13 Final Procrastination

From reading this, personally I'm really excited about the inclusion of 'Climax Of The Damned' and 'In The Name Of God, Please Kill Yourself'. Both 1982 outtakes, I can't wait to hear 'In The Name Of God, Please Kill Yourself' without that damn background hiss and segue into 'Christ, Who's Farted?' from the aborted Holy Fist album.
I've already heard 'Rabid Cow' and I'm disappointed that the original segue from 'Capturing Sophie's Bubbles' hasn't been kept intact from the unreleased Horny Nun album from 1991. How are we supposed to know that the two are related without the seven-minute 'You were bit on the tit and now you are it' chant? And the string arrangement courtesy of Doris Hunter has been removed too pout

Even so, I'm looking forward to this release and hearing the new songs too. And let's face it, anything would be an improvement on 2003's Kill The Fairy CD. If Haystack ever chooses to work with Jerky K ever again... mad

You won't think that once you've heard it. And considering that it was you who originally posted that fake tracklist for Haystack's new album last Christmas, it's no wonder you're showing so much hate now that the press release has proven that you're a liar.

Yeah, I know that Haystack pissed us all off with the Cock And Ball Torture Music Club failing to deliver on its promised 12 CDs in one month deal. I can't believe I paid $4,500 in advance for it. Although it was great being in row 437 at the concert last April and that alone was worth the money.

headbang I can't believe Mach's finally releasing Goddess Groove!!! It's like Prince's Moonbeam Levels. Every fake tracklist since 1803 has included it but now it's really gonna happen! Let's pray that it's the original version and not touched up or anything sacriligeous like that. And I wonder if Sexin Under the Moon will be the same as the circulating instrumental version or the rumoured version with vocals?

I heard an early version of She Bit My Balls. It's the song that saved my life.

I've heard that the Jerky K version that was circulating is definitely NOT what's going to appear on the new CD. Rumour has it that it's the early version from 1987's 'Clockwork Vagina' soundtrack which, as you know, apparently included Maureen LaSalle's glockenspiel work.

The Jerky K version was what made me suicidal in the first place, so thank god it's being skipped over.

I heard Meet My Herpes is a reworked version of Syphilis Pool Party (Come'n Get It). Can you confirm this?

Well, Syphilis Pool Party (Come'n Get It) was okay, but needed work and I think that the pre-release version that I've heard is an improvement. It does contain a replay of 'Left Tit Behind, Cos I Forgot' which enhances it totally.

Mercedes

Artist: Mercedes
Category: R & B
Label:Entrepeneur Records
Rating(out of 5)****

"The Most UNDERRATED Album Of The Year."- The Source

"Truly A Slept On Album"- Playboy

"Finally! A GENUINE R&B joint that has no guest rappers. you can listen to it all the way through."- Vibe

"This Album will make you stay on the dance floor. it's that fuckin' good."- Rolling Stone

Tracklisting:
1)Get Away(don't you wanna)
2)Sublime
3)Takin' It Back
4)Another Day Without You
5)Ain't No Way
6)These Tears Of Mine
7)What You Didn't Say
8)EveryBody Get Down

One listen to this album and you thought you were back in the late 80's/early 90's. that's because mercedes listened.she kept her ear to the streets and heard what fans wanted and what they didn't."it's not that i dislike hip-hop but for this album i strictly wanted R&B" she says. "too many guests can ruin a track. i use some samples on this album that are also in hip-hop but in a different way." outtakes have already been leaked on the streets but mercedes doesen't mind."how do you know i'm not the one who put them out there?" she says, with a sly grin. i do my best to give listeners what they want in the ways of good, solid R&B dance tracks along with some funk so hard that you get whiplash in the first 4 bars alone.i hope i did that. wink

woot!

I can't believe Mercedes has already got another one coming out. So far, I've heard 'Ain't No Way', 'These Tears Of Mine' and What You Didn't Say' and I have to say, I fainted because they were so good. I'm determined not to download the whole album before buying it this time though cos it spoils the effect come release day.

Mind you, no such problem with mistermcgee's new album if the security relating to the last release was anything to go by. As most people probably remember, the only way to hear the album pre-release was to have a USB slot surgically implanted into your head and under heavy guard, borrow the memory stick with the album on it.
Looking forward to The Wizard Of Cunt, though and I've heard that Tampax Beyond Thumbalina is one hell of a rousing close to the album.

Thanks for the headsup, Haystack.

"another day without you" is actually an orger jam session.the original track goes for 30 minutes but for time was cut down to 5."these tears of mine" is a little different than what you heard in the studio.,one of the outtakes that got out was the full 30 minute version of ADWY.by the way, if i don't make it to your release party it's because i'm doing the final mixdown of my second as-yet-named album.'i've gotten a lot of fanmail asking that i tour with this album..as you can see, my plate is full. cool
