That won't work because you don't know if everyone read it at the same time.

I said a prayer that he gets canned though.

Sorry Dan, but I'm selfish, amd I want you to be around to amuse me more.

Strange.

There's a buzz going around that we're losing 40% of the staff in my department. Being that we're all white collar IT Technology folks, that's a substantial cut.

Anyways, 4 people are expected to be let go in my office (we have 10 people).
I may be one of them.

We'll see shrug

Those who have been laid off. Got advise?

I wish you the best and hope your not apart of the 40%, that's a horrible experience for everybody when a company starts letting people go.

Dan, I have to log off and go take a nice bath.

Just know that while I'm naked and soaking in my tub I am thinking of you in your meeting and about how hot you must be when your scared and in your little business clothes, and what I'd like to do with you in your office.

Okay, maybe not, but good luck!

I think it's a good sign that he was called into the meeting. They are probably going to tell them what kind of changes are going into effect. (e.g. more work for everyone).

They would do lay-offs individually, I think, not as a group meeting.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I haven't been laid off in a while, but it really wasn't that bad. I got unemployement and a break from work.

Sure, money was tight, but it's not as bad as getting fired.

And when you interview again & have to explain what happened, it's not as bad as being fired.

I hope you're safe, still. it is a big pay cut to switch to unemployment!
