--make sure your resume is up to date
--contact or at least research temp agencies. Maybe you could do that in the interim.
--you might want to refill all/any prescriptions before Wednesday...(b/c if you get laid off, you will either have no health insurance or you'll have to pay COBRA, which is pretty expensive.)
--find out what you'll need to do to file & receive unemployment. (In my situation, in Chicago, I filed for unemployment immediately, but they don't give you any unless you are out of work for 2 weeks I think it was. By that time I had already started temping so I never received unemployment.)
--if you are one of the ones they keep, don't gloat--you don't want bad karma.

I've reached a weird state of calm in all of it. Almost like I'm thankful something is waking me up and allowing me to realize that I need to be steering my own boat, so to speak.

No matter what happens you'll be fine. It takes a bit of adjustment, but, if it happens, it could be the best thing that happened to you in the long run.

Hang in there...and try not to take it personally if they escort you out of the building. That's pretty standard when people get laid-off.

But yes, I've already looked into Unemployment.
