I don't think I'll get riffed personally. There are just too many other colleagues worth "riffing".

But I don't consider my upper management to make these decisions rationally. If they take our ratings into consideration, I scored far above average. I hope that works in my favor.

Dan, if you get laid off, you may not be able to collect unemployment until your severance pay runs out -- at least that's what it's like here in Michigan. It's probably a good idea to investigate what your state's laws are and get the appropriate paperwork ready, even if you can't file until after your severance runs out. I hope things work out well...no matter what happens on Wednesday

Dan, I got laid off last year.

The secret to dealing with it is to not take it personally and not to be a "victim".

I saw too many of my laid off co-workers with the "woe is me" attitude. You've just got to accept it (if it happens) and get on with things.
