The low prices...they're calling me, man! so i get home from work yesterday afternoon...i got a bunch of circulars, the copy of afro-punk i ordered from amazon ()...and a trader joes fearless flyer.
i was all like "whoa, are they opening a new store here downtown?" turned out it was just for the one that just got built over in st. louis park. then i was kinna like "dammit..." lunds is supposed to be building a new store about a block or two over from my place, but i guess they dunno what the hell they're doing as the place was supposed to open up last spring. it still ain't done. i gotta either go over to the wedge (closer to me, lotsa good stuff, but can be expensive) or over to rainbow in uptown (a little further away, cheaper stuff, but still too far over to carry tons of groceries). looking at the trader joes flyer has me tempted to go over there and see what they've got...the prices are pretty decent...but the place is out in the friggin 'burbs, man! riding on a bus with an assload of groceries is not cool. i suppose i should wait and see if they open a tj here downtown or something. i wanna hold out on it, but then again i can't...them low prices...they're calling me. | |

Ex-Moderator | Yeah, it's the burbs, but it's right over the border.
Darin hates going there cause of the people. He's a snob like that. It wouldn't be an awful bus ride, Deja. And the deals and the yumminess are worth the trip, for sure. |

What time do they open?
If you go early on a weekend the bus ride may not be so bad "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

If you go to Trader Joe's, they have awesome tapenade with goat cheese, vodka sauce, lobster bisque....all their breads are great....wish I lived up there, I would go with you! They also have good prices on orchid plants and fresh cut flowers.....I could go on and on...

i'm still thinking about going over there...i'd go this weekend, but the weather's gonna suck. They're like an uptown/suburban hybrid with children named madison and coby who get in your way and act stupidly at every possible moment. |
