What's the best thing you've purchased for a dollar?

I found an Alfred Hitchcock dvd with 4 films on it in a dollar bin today during my lunch break. I've also found Cover Girl, Maybelline, L'oreal,Revlon, and Rimmel products at the Dollar Tree....along with Dove,Clearasil, and Neutrogena cleansers. I usually stock up on the facial cleansers whenever I run across them at the dollar store. smile

Oh, damn, I don't know, TONS of stuff. You could get just about anything you need for a buck or less if you really tried.

Many, if not most, of my belongings came from thrift stores and garage sales growing up. I still get a lot of stuff free or cheap.

cool They must've wanted to get rid of those shoes badly lol Any shoe for that price is really good. These days you can barely find flip-flops for that price.....unless it's during the winter. lol

They upped the price at one time.....to $1.29. I said this is not worth $1.29....a dollar yeah, but not $1.29. I like going to places with dollar menus with exact change and I was so mad when they went up. mad Totally altered my plans. lol It's back on the $1 menu now.

Jockey lot Saturdays. cloud9 I haven't been in a while, but when I was younger, my mom used to take us with her to jockey lots and yard sales on Saturday mornings. I like to sleep late now on Saturdays, so yeah it's been a while.

You can never go wrong with books for a dollar. I see more cookbooks for a dollar than any other type though.
