DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME starting early this year;on March 11, 2007 for US, Canada and Bermuda,

I received this info from my employer although I heard sometime ago on the news that this was going to take place early this year

"Daylight Savings time is beginning 4 weeks early. The US Congress has passed an Act changing the dates for Daylight Saving Time in 2007 (the US Energy Policy Act of August 2005). Canada and Bermuda are following the US; Mexico currently is not. The law goes into effect in 2007. DST begins on the second Sunday in March (March 11th), and ends on the first Sunday in November. Previously DST began on the first Sunday in April and ended on the last Sunday in October."

Apparently this will effect everyone's computers, software applications and electronic devices, such as, Microsoft Windows applications, Outlook, Blackberrys, cell phones, etc., etc., so be aware of this change.

Oh yeah, that's because when I hit submit,it stated there was a "communication error" and it put these crazy codes wherever I had "bold and italics" within the text, so I went back in the post and took them out. Sometimes it does that when you're trying to submit a message.

About your son's party on that day, you'll be ok. I believe the time will change around 1:00 am or 2:00 am during those wee hours of the morning, so you should be ok by the time your son's party starts. smile

it happens every spring and fall...

you set your clock one hour faster in the spring and set it back that same hour in the fall. it's just happening earlier this year because your government wants to make my life difficult is all.

I myself like daylight savings time for the longer days ( though I hate losing that hour of sleep to start with). I wish it would stay on DST year round, but that's just me.

Dammitt, why the hell do they want to extend it? I hate it when it stays daylight longer. If I had it my way, it would be nighttime 24/7 and freezing cold winter year-round.

Are you kidding me? lol I love it when we start DST early, I can't stand the thought that it gets dark before 5 pm during the winter months. I feel like I missed out on most of the day, but then again that's just me. lol

I love that time of year. It gets dark before I even make it home from work.

Just think about it, everything fun is at night.....clubs, concerts, picking up a stranger at 2 a.m. and sleeping with them, etc. Everything boring is in the daytime....work, sports, getting the car maintenanced, running personal business errands, etc. Also, everything fun is in the winter....Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, etc. There's no fun in the summer because it's too damn hot, especially here in Mississippi where it gets hotter than the fires of hell.

Hell, I'm like Alicia Bridges.....

I love the nightlife, I've got to boogie, on the disco 'round, oh yeah

lol
