I for one think that handicapped people can be terrific contributers to your company's bottom line as well as members of society, without the need for ANY pity whatsoever. If you think about it, we are ALL handicapped by something.

Can I point out the reason they are on the same shift? I doubt that handicapped people or the mentally challenged can get around at night. It's the same reason kids aren't allowed to work other shifts.

When I was little, I worked in a child-labor camp in South America (our factory specialized in designer purses). I was always complaining about the 18 hour shifts, lack of breaks, fire-hazards, etc.. My lack of life experience prevented me from seeing how good I really had it back then. I guess it's true what they say. Youth is wasted on the young. | |
