I'm at the movies for this...nod

Mr. Samuel L. Jackson playing blues guitar and Christina, "she's got the sickness", it has the makings of a cult classic.

Thx for the links!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Big time.
The only downfall is Justin Timberlake. The guy can't act. At first I was thinking they just gave him the most horrible cheesy lines, but then I realized they all had them, he just couldn't give the ernest but still tongue-in-cheek performance it needed.
The use of music is amazing. I really, really had a good time at this.

My boyfriend and I were just discussing how this is like one of those weird, strange blacksploitation movies from the '70s. Just totally off the wall like Black Mama, White Mama. Which is really cool because so many hollywood movies of today are so formulated and boring and there isn't enough quirkiness out there. I think this movie seems really interesting and I'll go see it! cool

Actually, it's nothing remotely close to a Blaxploitation flick.

I never understood her appeal, but it seems that every guy I know has a thing for her.

Her appeal is pretty simple: She's just hella cute with a nice shape and she seems like the everyday-girl-next-door-kinda-chick - Very approachable.

She looks girlish, kind of like a Blythe doll, which a lot of guys like. She's not my type though. shrug
