Gluttony! Why is it that we only focus on this eating pattern when it comes to people with weight or weight issues? I was the same weight for 15 years from graduating highschool and finally I've hit puberty I have gained 12 pounds in the last few years which is huge for me considering I went 15 years literally without gaining one single ounce. Because I didn't have to watch what I ate, I ate like a damn pig. Gorging myself in ways that would be considered gluttony were I fat. When someone thin eats like there is no tomorrow, they are encouraged but someone who is (considered) overweight is looked down upon like some disgusting human being. I just think it's wrong to judge someone for eating like a skinny twig who has the luxury not to care 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

i think there is a difference though... if i am gaining then i am eating more than i need
if you are eating all you want and not gaining then somehow it is exactly what you need?

if you are eating all you want and not gaining then somehow it is exactly what you need? No. I don't need 2 plates of food even if i don't gain an ounce from it. It's definitely still gluttony even if you're thin. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

However, most skinny non-weight-gaining piggies I know eat a bunch of crap, which will catch up with 'em in the end. . . skinny people get heart disease too. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

It's a horrible double standard though. Looking down on one person because their body is going to do one thing with the food and not the other because their body doesn't. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Yeah, it's true. . .funny, today in anatomy class we had group presentations, and one of them was on taste/smell. They gave us candy as part of a demo, and I realized that anybody watching me eat a Lifesaver is seeing a fat chick trash her body, while the skinny guy next to me is just enjoying some candy. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

That's my point. It's fucked up and it's wrong. I have never judged people based on their weight. Some of my best friends have been very heavy people and just like they saw my skinny birdlike frail ass as a real human being, I saw them the same way 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
