Lent is a time of penance and atonement... or some shit. And Catholics usually give something up or do something extra during these 40 days. (I can't usually be assed to do something extra so I usually give something up. Last year it was Catholicism!  )
But this year I'm back in the saddle. I've decided to give something up. This year I will give up creating such kick ass threads, because I know it inhibits some people (see LleeLlee's recent threads). So for the next 40 days I will create only shitty threads. A funny story: I remember the first time I seen people wearing ashes on their face, it was hilarious. The first time I saw it is when I went a way to college. I'm on the campus bus and I see all of these people with black marks on their foreheads. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone or something. I was like, what in the hell is going on. My first reaction was to tell the first person I saw that they had something on their face. Man, I was embarassed when everyone on the bus laughed at me. | |
