I spent about an hour hooking up all of my musical equipment and recorded 2 demos. It was the best birthday present I could've given myself.

Fantastic! Hope we can hear them some time!

It's a big deal for me anymore too. I used to record stuff all the time from 18 to 28. But in the past 3 years, I've done virtually nothing.

It feels wonderful to get back to it.

she did a whole line of greeting cards in the late '70s/early '80s...

my mom used to buy them for her friends at work as a gag, which is how she heard about "pink flamingos", which led one year to a very awkward (and abbreviated) thanksgiving viewing in which she had no idea about the film's content, which led to me calling a friend the next day and saying "holy crap, we have to rent this movie!", which led to a lifetime's obsession with uncle johnny.

I just bought a digital recorder so I'm going to get back to it on a regular basis.

Now I just have to get some computer speakers and headphones so I can edit better.

I record sound stories, like radio drama, using voice, sound effects and music. I compose and record little violin pieces to drop in as interludes. I just bought an H4 Zoom portable recorder. It looks great -- I'll start using it this week.
