Question: if your boss makes you write your own eval, doesn't that limit what input they have when you run it by them for review?

Just me, I suppose...but he would do well to stay the hell out of my way....asshole!!!!

I had to write my own review at my last job - hated it! If you don't do what you put down as a goal for the upcoming year, they jump on your butt and try to make you feel bad.

Well in the Army, my lieutenant (who generally has give or take 4 years military experience) has to review my performance over the past year...in the process he's supposed to do a counseling session in which he outlines goals and expectations, as well as offering his suggestions on what I can be doing to enhance my career (me, with 14 years in)...so you can already envision the look crossing my face....

now in a perfect world, HE would've written the damned thing....but as it turns out, I had to write it (since its almost due) on top of having to write evals on the other NonComms that work for me...then I show him mine, just so he'll know what he wrote and the fuck had the GALL to raise an eyebrow....I showed it to him out of courtesy, not for him to nitpick....and it just looks to me like he doesn't want my eval to top his or make it seem like he WASN'T the end all be all of the platoon....

Couldn't sleep last night and when I finally had gotten to sleep I woke up 2 hrs later with a headache... at frigging 5 in the morning and I couldn't go back to sleep for some reason...
