CNN and its reporting of Anna Nicole Smith, then breaking News because Britney shaved her head. Whats next break programing when she farts?

Its really quite sad that with a war, a retarded president, and early campaigning for the 2008 election, that Anna Nicole and Britney dominate the news.

And what is wrong with us as a country have we run out of real celebrities to care about I mean a washed Playboy centerfold, a lip synching drunken basket case, oh and lets not forget Paris Hilton who is famous for no reason whatsoever.

How about a real celebrity like somebody who is a real musician, or a director of a brillant movie, or an actor that can act, or a famous writer. Instead of these suedo celebrities.

And can we have real news and leave the celeb BS for entertainment tonight SHAME ON CNN.

I didn't mention FOX because they have never been a real news channel.

Give people bread and circus so they cause no problem.

If they wouldn't have made it better, and about more interesting people, I think it would have eventually be dropped from most stations all together.

Apparently Bob Herbert of the NY Times recently wrote about an entertainment-obsessed America being clueless to the type of world liable to arrive at our doorsteps. He was more eloquent than I, to be sure. Sounds like it's worth a read.

But I just refuse to pay for NYT's columns. Especially when I can catch the latest on Britney and Anna Nicole for free...
