A beautiful bouquet of flowers..."A Date with John Waters" CD ...some cards and a bit of candy. It was wonderful

Oh, and my mom got me roses too.

Roses, probably the most exquisite meal I've ever had, kisses and snuggles.

The great thing is, she really does treat me like a princess most of the time, we just kicked it up a notch and had a nice date.


I gave her a single rose and a pretty woven box thingie with some random little gifts in it, including a copy of the Tao Te Ching, which I think she'll appreciate.

And fed her strawberries.

A singing quartet came and sang for me in my cubicle. They sang beautifully! You, Mach?

Gave my honey a card.

I gave a bottle of Remy Martin VSOP.

I got exactly jack shit.

But that's okay. Cos he dropped a ton of money on my birthday.

Edited to say that I did receive two orgnotes, wishing me a Happy Valentine's Day. I forgot to acknowledge it earlier, and didn't want the senders to feel like I didn't appreciate it. Because I do.

I got a card from my Mom telling me how much she loves me and is so very proud of me....that is worth more to me than anything that could be bought with money...

At work the activities committee passed out little heart-shaped boxes containing 4 chocolates....I already ate all 4 of mine.... ....what was I thinking?

I'm in the middle of cleaning up the aftermath of my Valentine's Day "festivities"
& I gotta say,
y'all really wouldn't want to know the places I'm finding some of these leftover candy hearts.

I really shouldn't be all that surprised though.
I'm experienced enough to know by now the severity of the collatoral damage that results when one mixes one's gumars with Valentine Special touting midget hookers.

Guess I just couldn't resist those adorable, little cupid-themed outfits.

Good thing I had already ordered for her a bouquet of two dozen long-stem roses with balloons and a box of chocolates. Not the most imaginative thing to give, I know, but she's on another continent which limited my options and besides, she loves roses so in her mind it wasn't a cliché and that's all that matters.

Beautiful roses delivered to my work- made everyone else jealous. I put them out for all of the patients to enjoy as well. It is so nice to share and watch everyone especially the Fed Ex delivery ppl come in and "stop to smell the roses". They smell unbelievable.
What a very sweet gesture.



My mom sent me a very sentimental card with a beautiful book marker.
