I always wanted them as a kid and never got them, but my best friend did!

We found out they're actually brine shrimp.

My friend was obsessed with them. They come with a little booklet and we would read it and watch them for hours.

i had sea monkeys when i was a kid. the only tricks i ever saw them do was have sea monkey sex, make sea monkey babies and die.

which, you know, whatever - it cost five bucks. these days you can't even get a used copy of "teen wolf 2" on VHS for five bucks.

Oh my gawd! This reminds me of an embarassing moment.

I was on a business call, and client had this thing on his desk, well I thought it was one of those water wheels.. So I turned it upside down..

I killed all of his Sea Monkeys!

Needless to say, I went out and bought him a new kit, and a water wheel!

"Yes! I'm king of the sea people!!!"

Damn it I have been wanting to do a thread on sea monkeys for three years now and somebody beat me to it.

i sent away for the sea monkeys back in the day

I think half of my allowances over a four year period went to purchasing sea monkeys. As best as I could discern the damn things kepts dying en route.
