Apparently the road crews are taking the day off as well. When I got up, I had to walk through a foot of snow to get to my garage. Now I just went out for lunch, it's noon, and the roads still like like they've hardly been plowed.

Ugh! Not sure how the roads are here, or if they've even been plowed. I'm not even venturing outside today.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

uh oh, we've got big snow coming down again in chicago, though the weather is less dangerous today than all the people on the street acting like they have no sense.

People do that when it snows, and I have no idea why. I can understand if it were a bunch of people who moved into the area who had never driven in or seen snow before. But these are people who have lived in a town that gets snow their whole life.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I worked 23 hours in the past two days at the TV station here in Toledo. We got anywhere from 10-14 inches of snow. The phone rang non-stop Tuesday morning with school closings and event cancellations and business closings and the like.

Was lucky to get to work this morning, even though I have about 4-5-foot drifts in my driveway. Luckily I spotted a pick up truck with a plow and the dude just quickly made a path for me to get out.

The phone started rining again after 5am and didn't stop until after I left, about 1:30pm. Business close this, church close that. I had hardly a minute to myself. The past two days have been a blur, like the snow.

On the positive point, I get paid overtime this week for the 23 hours I worked in the past two days.

Funniest thing, a funeral parlor called in to say the funeral of "such and such" has been delayed until 2 pm today. .... okay??? hmm confuse Strange thing is that with 10-14 inches of snow, how do you get to and fron the funeral and the gravesite if the roads are not plowed, and how do you dig all the snow just to dig 6 feet? I wonder if said funeral went off as planned today?

if the weather persists i wont be able to go home for next week's break bawl
