I've never had to buy one, but I've heard the headaches from friends.

Congrats!! New appliances are fun.

I want this fridge:

love I love both colors so I'd have a hard time deciding on which on to go with. They cost around $3000 though. sigh I love that whole retro 50's look. I found the matching range too.... love
The con is that I'm so used to having a fridge with built in ice maker and filtered water that I'd probably be too lazy to refill the ice tray. lol The range is gas too....for some reason I'm terrified of cooking with gas. I have a fear of the whole place blowing up. lol My grandma cooked with gas before she got a new range. I can definitely tell the difference in food cooked with gas....it's a little better, imo. I'm dying to move into a place where I can do my own kitchen. I'd get the checkerboard flooring.

Oh wow! I love it..... lol We had nearly the same table when I was a kid.... I went with a top freezer instead of a side by side this time too..... It did come with filtered water and ice maker....

As for gas, I won't have anything else... I have cooked with electric and its just not the same.....

Gorgeous!!! I love the green, I'm not much for aqua for myself personally, but it's a great look. My dream kitchen would be kitschy and retro like that too. nod

And I can't cook with electric. Gas is the ONLY way to go!

My sister-in-law recently did their whole basement in a 50s/kitsch theme. She's got a kitchen and a living area down there. It's really cute!

And with a black one you won't have to worry about it getting dirty so fast and discoloration. I've seen plenty of white fridges that have that dingy look that's so unpleasant.

Yep! I own one of those unpleasant dingy white ones. The only big change is from a side by side to a top freezer. I was so sick of pulling shelves to get larger meats in the side by side.... and ice maker took a lot of space in it.

I still have an ice maker and water but they are in a space saving way inside the fridge which is cool.... Although the damn things last forever it sucks what they cost.

Dude, you're not gonna be able to stuff that butterball into your freezer no matter how big it is. Industrial size won't even work.

I'm just sayin'...
