Looks like Eddie Murphy's Norbit may end up being the worst movie ever made.

The only movie I can remember that gets a .o9 on the tomatometer at Rotten Tomatoes, the movie rating site! Pretty pathetic. Bad move on his part if he wants that Oscar. He may not get it now. His offensive movie might sink it.

If I had to go to a movie this past weekend, it would have been Hannibal Rising.

My sister insisted I come see Norbit with her the other night.

It was a piece of crap. That said, I've seen much, much worse.

I do. My tastes are much more in tune with critics than average movie patrons that will collectively spend $34 million to see 'Norbit'. disbelief

The one time critics did me wrong was 'Crash'. That movie sucked.

I kinda never use critics opinions...I go first by the actor, then the synopsis of what the story is about then a preview.

Some actors get a pass from me and I'll see them in any crappy film. I went to see 'The LIbertine' knowing full well it wasn't great only because Johnny Depp and Samantha Morton were in it. drool

And I'll take a chance on any film if it gets overwhelmingly positive reviews--like 'Letters From Iwo Jima' even though I'm not into war films.

I just can't trust critics...they get paid some pocket change to boost some movies and some of them just seem like snobby assholes. Most importantly though is that I don't use other people to judge what is good or not. That's just me...I choose to find out and formulate my own opinion. Sometimes that means sitting through a stinker or 2 smile

Like Crash. barf

Seriously though, I'm not deciding which films are good based on what critics say, just which ones I'll pay money to see in a theater. The bad ones--if I still want to see them--I'll rent or wait until they are on cable. There are a whole bunch of those like 'The Island' or 'The Black Dahlia' or 'Scoop'--basically anything with Scarlett Johansson in it. She gets a pass. razz

who greenlit this movie? who thought it would be a good idea? even looking at the poster for the first time, i felt angry and insulted! lol it's films like this that should get NC-17 ratings. or they should just get an NC rating where NOBODY is allowed in. isn't the US government all about limiting our rights for our own good? why not do it for a reason that really WOULD benefit us? keep our citizens away from THIS crap! oh my GOD barf
