Star Wars Episode II In IMAX!!!

For all my fellow sci-fi geeks, the official Star Wars website has announced that November 1st will see the release of Star Wars: Episode II-Attack Of The Clones in the IMAX format! While it isn't uncommon for theatrical films to get a run at IMAX theaters, the AOTC screening will be just a bit different. Since Episode II was shot digitally, the wizards at Lucasfilm have re-formatted the movie to fit the IMAX sceen! Yoda will now kick major ass on an even bigger screen! Truly, the Force is with us!

Too funny! Actually, if you really think about it, Jar Jar is responsible for the downfall of the republic, and the rise of the Empire!

Now if they just edit out those absolutely nauseating romance sequences, they might have something worth watching.

w-w-WHAT??? Oh god...

Why the hell did George create such a bloody annoying character?? In "Attack of The Clones" he only in the movie a fraction of what he is in "Phantom Menace" (thank god) but he sum how still managed 2 annoy me and my cousin more...

I wish Jar Jar Twat was real so I could kill him.

Well, Luke and Leia had to come from somewhere, didn't they? I agree that the romance was a bit over the top, but you have to remember that, at its core, Star Wars is a fairy tale. All good fairy tales have such an element to them. Still, it was worth the price of admission to see Yoda layin' the smack-down!

Watch AOTC again, and you'll see that Jar Jar is manipulated by Palpatine into proposing that the senate give him emergency powers. This is what Palpatine uses to create the army of the republic (the clones), which will eventually be used to exterminate the remaining Jedi. This also gives him the ability to declare himself Emperor It's all Jar Jar's fault!

Well no, technically its the Jedis fault cuz it was their idea 2 use the Clone Army that was already built 2 fight against Dookus army and they needed sum1 2 bring it up at the counsil and propose the emergency powers.

Wasnt it?

on a side note,
I hear the DVD release will be the
ever so slightly longer digital
release version (with all the
extra little bits that weren't
on the regular release).

Not really. You see, Palpatine (Darth Sideous) is in league with Dooku (Darth Tyrannus). Dooku created the "Seperatist movement" so that Palpatine would have a threat he could use the clone army for. Palpatine had the Clone army created 10 years earlier, when he posed as deceased Jedi Sifo-Dyass. All he did was lure Obi-Wan to Kamino, so that the Jedi would become aware of the Clones and bring it to the Republic's attention. From there, with the manufactured threat looming, the members of the Republic would have no choice but to give Palpatine the power to use the Clone army. This prevented any representatives from being able to fight the creation of an army, as well as giving Palpatine the first bits of power he needed. Using the excuse of the war (which he manufactured anyway), Palpatine will slowly get the systems of the Republic to give him more and more power.

DORA

Nothing will every compair to the IMAX documentary of the 1996 Expedition to the summit of mount Everest.

at the time the mountain was 29,028 feet... at present its 29,035

which to put into perspective is about the height 747's fly.

at 21,000 feet the air is so thin that hypoxia (the sensation of not being earth bound) and carrying ones own weight, and breathing is life threatening.

Here they brought up the IMAX camera which weighs 85 lbs and film rolls that are 500 foot magazines that only last 90 seconds.

8 climbers died that season... no 1 from the IMAX team.
