I don't do Valentine's Day

We're going out for a nice dinner. Neither of us has much money right now, so I don't know if we're supposed to be exchanging gifts. I kind of want to put together a sort of "care package" for her to make her extra comfy at my house. . .a little chest of drawers for her part of my closet, a bunch of her favorite tea, some crossword puzzles (I know, very romantic. . . "here's something to do when hanging out with me gets even more boring than crossword puzzles"). . .I think I'll do that on Monday.

I'm sending out cards...I bought chocolates for my mom and a couple of my girlfriends who told me they've never gotten candy for Valentine's Day (I wanted to change that for them). I also wanted to mail off a gift, but don't know if it'll make it in time!
