I truly hope that the hospital can see their way clear to putting your Grams together or closer to each other.....I lost mine within months of each other, so I can relate....

they were doing a show about those nasty hospital bugs like katt mentioned and the one doctor advised that you should keep a bottle of alcohol gel by your bedside and make sure all your health care providers use it before they care for you.

and the perfume/aftershave suggestion was lovely...
hope you can spend as much time with her as you can and try to convince her to fight... play dirty and tell her its not fair to give up while your parents are away

Going to the hospital soon, and will take some comforts and well wishes for them..

Thank you all so much.. I cant believe what a nightmare the past few days have been.. and especially when my parents have been almost non contactable.. they arrived in London this morning and are driving home as we speak.. its a 6 or 7 hour journey and its just the waiting that is so awful..

My heart is aching but I know Grandma wanted to go.. it was her time after such a fantastic long life but also with tremendous pain she had to endure for years on a daily basis.

Ironically on Sunday night they moved her into a private room, but so happened to be directly below my Grandads hospital room, so at least they were close in her last hours..

Oh I am so sorry, I am just in a state.. it comes and goes, as one can imagine, but just typing this, I am breaking down.

I just wanted to thank all your kind words, prayers, love and support.

I will cherish and love her always and laugh and cry and remember when I go to the ladies toilets to apply my lipstick as we used to do together. I hope to wear red at her funeral cos she always said Nicole, Red is your colour, you look amazing.. and I hope one day when we are together again, whereever we will be she will be wearing her red shoes and me too, and we will dance together, eat cake, drink tea, laugh and joke as always and I can tell her all the other things I didnt get to tell her.. xx
