The exception: spending money on my dog. In fact, just this morning I bought him a new throw toy, a new chew toy, and a cute little bag holder for his snazzy leash and collar that his other mother just got for him (note to Carrie: he now has a reversible black and white leash/collar with a hot pink pearlescent bag holder, you'd love it ). $30 that I don't really have on a dog who would be happy to chew on rolled up newspaper, when I can't seem to convince myself that it's ok to buy new underwear.
