Spooky Coincidences I was on a bus going to the night zoo in Singapore when I spotted a guy who was on my course at university. Whats the chances of that eh? Being on a public bus, going to the same place on the other side of the world?!
What spooky coincidences have you encountered?

Ex-Moderator | I ran into Tracy Ulman in Paddington Station when I was in the UK the first time.
ok, I know there's no coincidence there, but it was kinda fun. |

We were in the London Eye, talking to a couple of chics who were sharing our pod. It turns out they live right across town (in Pensacola, Florida) from us.

How bout these apples
Friday January 19th I went to Best Buy to get a harddrive so I could save all my files. FINALLY I bought one. You have no idea how badly I needed it but maybe it's a good thing I waited so long because the prices were so cheap! I saw an 80 Gig for $99.00. Then I walked halfway down the aisle and saw a 160 gig for the same price! So I picked it up and went to get the Peel Sessions and they didn't have it. WTF! So I went looking for other stuff I wanted and everything I thought of, they didn't have. They didn't have shit. So I'm browsing and I spot something I have totally neglected in my life and it really dawns on me.....I have no rational, logical or valid explanation why So I grabbed the CD and made my way towards the checkout and when I got to the end of the aisle, something told me "NO!" OK OK!!!!! I really had no idea why I felt it so strongly, and I stood there thinking....Ok, I just spent the last few minutes going through a mental exercise, agreeing I had no excuses and you tell me NO? Well I trust those feelings when I have them so I put it back. So it's Saturday morning and I have mail! I love packages!! It was a late Christmas Present from a friend of mine and when I opened it I gasped and went In my hands was the exact CD I held just the day before. There is no such thing as coincidence, just confirmation 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

my mother came home one evening from work very disturbed. she had seen a man who looked a lot like her father, whom she watched being shot by a Russian soldier some 40 years earlier. as if that weren't freaky enough, we saw an obituary in the paper a few weeks later - with my grandfather's name!

That is spooky. yeah. sometimes i wished we had looked into this more at the time, to see if somebody just stole his identity during the war, or if my mother's memories were somehow twisted and he survived the war. now i guess we'll never know. and maybe that's for the better...

My oldest brother, Shawn, was born on February 22 of 1962. When Rachel and I were going to have our first child, we had decided to name him Shawn (after my brother who died in 1969) if we had a boy. My Shawn was born on February 20, 1996, but he was almost born on the 22nd because Rachel had two different dates open to her for being induced, and she chose the earlier date because she was too freaked out by the coincidence of being born on the same day of the year.

i'm sorry you lost your brother Thanks. I was born a year after he died, so I never got to know him at all. I did ask my parents if naming our son "Shawn" was okay with them, though. They were happy about it, and my mom started to get tears in her eyes because she said that she had always hoped one of us kids would name one of her grandsons after him.

OK this story is a bit complicated.
On Dec 23, I was a bit drunk at a pub in the city and befriended this couple, Pete and Michelle. Turns out they live it Grantville (1.5 hours from where I live, 2 hours from this pub). So I said "hey! if you're not doing anything Jan 13, come to the San Remo pub (near Grantville) I will be there!" On Jan 13, I was at the San Remo pub, saw Pete and Michelle there, went over to say g'day, and they gave me blank stares. I talked to them for a while, and Michelle goes "who are you?" I couldn't believe it, they were there not because I told them to, but purely by coincidence. I told them the whole story and they admitted they were so drunk the time before they couldn't even remember me. Pete was so embarassed he gave my family a free horse and cart ride around the island the next day and it was the same carriage Scott and Charlene had for their wedding, so my bum touched the same seat as Kylie Minogue's bum

I was leaving my parents house and a storm hit very quickly, it got so bad all I could see was grey haze around my car - could barely see a few feet in front of my car.
Then I noticed a red and blue glow of cop lights, and when I got closer, there was a cop car stopped in the road not moving. So when I tried to pass around him I saw why he stopped, a tree came down right across the road blocking it. So I did a u turn and tried to go back the way I came, only to find out another tree came down about 100 feet or so behind me blocking the street there as well. It freaked me the hell out because I just missed getting hit by it. The next day on the news, there were a bunch of reports of trees down everywhere. It had been raining for several days, so the ground was saturated, and they think a downdraft occurred, causing alot of them to tip over

I was just working on a Notice of Death form here at work. Right when I checked the guy's last name, the song "Under the Cherry Moon" started playing from the music list I was listening to on my computer. The guy's last name was Christopher.
