It is strange because when her son Daniel passed away supposedly only Anna and Howard were in the room-If Howard was with her when she passed it is cause for speculation. May the Lord watch and Keep her daughter out of harms way.

I really must protest the comparison b/t Anna Nicole and Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn (Norma Jeanne) was not nearly as fucked up as Anna Nicole. Anna Nicole's "talent" was ??? (Not really sure.) Marilyn was actually an okay actress with good comedic timing (watch Some Like It Hot or How to Marry a Millionaire) and she was very good in The Misfits. She won a Golden Globe too, for The Prince & the Showgirl.

Umm, not really. Marilyn didn't have any children--ever. She never married an old guy for his money and wasn't entangled in a fight for the inheritance when she died. Marilyn didn't committ suicide, or even have an accidental overdose. Do we even know how ANS died, yet? Marilyn, at the end of her life was actually working on a new film, and was doing better in terms of health (mental & physical). She was reconciling with her 2nd husband (DiMaggio).

I really see no similarites b/t the two other than the fact that ANS copied Marilyn's physical look, but then again so did Madonna (Material Girl vid is a complete copy of a scene in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes).

This is the worst. I'm heartbroken.

I've been an Anna Nicole fan since day 1. As a young teenager, I used to clip her Guess Jeans ads and Cannes Film Festival pictures out of the paper and magazines and keep them in a little folder along with all of my pop star memorabilia. I watched her through her court cases, her E! show, her weight loss, all of it. And all because I actually LIKED her, not because she was a fun joke to be in on like most people seemed to think.

I realize that she lead a train wreck of a life, but the way that the press and various hangers on handled her daughter's birth and son's subsequent death is truly shameful. We may never know exactly what happened to her and why, but the loss of her son and the potential custody case of her daughter was probably more than she could bare. God rest her soul.

And it's refreshing to see so many on here paying their respects.

When you hear her story, the whole of it is heartbreaking and it was always great to see some coutry bumpkin from the middle of nowhere become somebody. As awful as this might sound (and I don't think there's a best way to die), I'm really hoping that her death was from something medical and not due to the diet pills. I realize it's not the healthiest way to lose weight, but over the past few years she's taken charge of her health and tried to be well for her children and Howard. It would be a shame if she died because of trying to lose or maintain her weight.

I always felt sorry for her, especially when her son died. So sad.

How many troops died today? I just feel like we get too wrapped up with celebrities these days.

sorry- I feel sorry for her child but she is a celebrity. I get sick of all of the attention they get. Hope her family gets some peace during this hard time.
