nod
even though Ricky Gervais has become an egotistical swiiiiine.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

How the f%&k can you people consider these "US versions" good? Once you've seen the originals you should realize what awful garbage the remakes are compared to the British ones.

Remakes are almost always bad unless you've never seen the originals. That would explain why so many damn remakes of movies coming out of Hollywood are making so much money when they're shit compared to the originals.

That's what's so odd. The US Office is basically just as good, only slightly different.

I didn't understand why they did it at first, either, but there were very few of the original UK episodes. The US version has probably already had a longer run, and they're not copying specific episodes anymore, just the basic format.

Once I got over the fact that it was a remake I realized how good it was. I think it's worth watching both.

I've only ever seen season one of the U.S. Office... and it sucked as far as I was concerned. I've heard people of the same mind praise the later seasons, though, so I'd like to give the rest a chance eventually.

This might sound crazy, but I always thought Reno 911! felt enough like an Americanized version of The Office to me.

I didn't like The Office at first, because I just couldn't stop comparing it to the original.

I don't know that I could ever not compare it to the original, no matter how good it was. The U.K. version might be my all time favorite comedy. It works on so many levels.

yeah, and it seems like an obvious disaster to mess with something that works so well. Why not just show the original, right? But somehow they made it work twice.

But I'm American, that may help me appreciate it's take on the idea.
