Have you ever been dumped in a spectacular way?

I cant say that I have. They've always dumped me by telephone. A cowards way out unless distance applies. The most hurful was when I was dumped the same week I lost my job and couldnt afford to stay at my flat.

You?

Oh god! I was taken out to lunch in San Francisco and dumped in the middle of eating. I felt so sad I didn't eat, and gave my lunch to the homeless guy on the way to the car.

That was a bad day.

i got dumped and then that night i got attacked by a cat i was watching and then the next day i saw a naked man running around my neighborhood. He was middle aged and pudgy and was saying, "Woo-Hoo! I'm crazy! Somebody call the police!"

Eventually someone did call the police.

confused

So the getting dumped wasn't so spectacular but the aftermath kinda was.

I really should add to my thread about the bizarre love triangle I was in. It really did get worse.

I said sorry, and actually got hit round the head with a hand bag. It knocked me over. Until then I only ever thought that happened in movies. They really hurt. sad

I got dumped on December 23rd. He moved out that morning and I had to go to work that night.

It totally sucked.

Yesterday I went to a really good Mexican Restaurant, & afterwards went to Sonik's & had a really huge & thick strawberry shake.

And I must say,
the the night was certainly topped off with quite the spectacular dump.

I was once dumped after a dinner and I was so trying to be cool about it, I was all, 'well OK, then, do you wanna go for drinks now? Cause I feel like going out.' lol He told me how amazingly cool I was about everything (so it WORKED!) but I was feeling incredibly upset and ended up getting very drunk indeed. confused Work the next day was not fun.

nothing spectacular, usually in person. the only weird one was while i was at work an ex came to visit me and broke up. that was kinda weird, but as i was working i was focusing on other things and it seemed less significant.

When I was 21,the guy I was in love with started seeing an older woman who was going through a divorce. He never said he was seeing someone else. We were living together and he just got "distant". Wanted to be by himself...
He inherited $$ which she went through in 2 years. When I'm in town,(every ten years) he avoids me. I'm doing quite well and he's not, and looks like shit. Way obese.

Which is exactly why I've always taught my kids...DO NOT MARRY.....before the age of 28. Maybe they'll wait until 25??? Things aren't what they seem, love vs lust..vs common sense..vs ...experience.
Anyhow.....everyone has their own experiences.

No.

But my X fiance, lived in my parents house with me.

And I left a note on my bed for him telling him to have his shit outta there when I got home.

oh yeah, i been dumped over the phone before too. not a great feeling, but then the ball is in your court, because you really don't have to do anything else. if they want to get back with you later on down the road, then the "dumper" has to do more work. Or if you see them in the street, they are the ones who look stupid, while they see how you look (which is fabulous because then they will know that they didn't break you. Your life continued on without them and you are fine with that wink ) At least thats the way i see it.

disbelief she used the oldest trick in the book...she had just come back from a weekend in florida...I picked her up at the airport, we drove back to manhattan, dropped her luggage off at her apartment, and went to get a bite to eat...all of that took about 2 hours..at the restaurant she told me that she didn't want to be with me anymore. disbelief we had break up sex afterward, and that was that.

Now, see, I just had an ex tell me that I'm bad at breaking up because I DIDN'T dump him by telephone. He was on vacation, and I waited until he got home to tell him. He thinks I should have called him up. wacky
