hey Beatles fans! Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe" ... this looks I N C R E D I B L E ! A romantic musical told mainly through numerous Beatles songs performed by the characters. A young man from Liverpool comes to America during the Vietnam War to find his father. He winds up in Greenwich Village, where he falls in love with an American girl who has grown up sheltered in the suburbs. Together they experience the sweeping changes of America in the late 60's.

Ah, I did love Titus. I've refused to watch Frida though, but that's purely to spite my brother-in-law, who loves that movie and is a complete and utter knob of epic proportions. Loved the visuals in the trailer, but some of the arrangements of the songs sounded a bit iffy to my ears. | |

It looks wiggy.
The movie's website lists Bono as an actor, playing the character "Dr. Robert"... And that "Liverpudlian" guy's accent is very, very odd. I sense that it may make more sense when stoned. | |
