Roy Jones is a fraud in the PT Barnum mold, more interested in marketing, hype and money than serious competition - not that I blame him really. If I was a boxer I'd do everything I could to keep my face from getting pounded too, but I'm getting real tired of watching him pick on slow half witted white guys who can't punch or move at all and start bleeding when they exit the dressing room.

If Roy moves up to heavy weight, he will get destroyed.

Damn, Ice, I was wondering when you'd get around to this one.

I for one can not stand Oscar De La Hoya. I lost any measure of respect for him when he ran from Trinidad for 5 rounds. I like boxers who come to fight and Vargas is an absolute warrior - a guy who lifted himself off the canvas time after time against a clearly superior Felix Trinidad.

I am so sick of Oscar and his Ricky Martin act - and Roy Jones Jr. too.

Jones is SO overrated it's rediculous, and his ring entrances and rap act are excruciatingly tired. I could've beat up that bastard he fought Saturday, and probably half the tomato cans he's faced in his career.

He's a fraud and a coward who's never faught a legitimate opponent in his career. i know, off topic...

Anyway: Vargas by knockout.

You are right about Vargas' heart and determination... he does not quit and will not back down... you gotta respect that. I still think that DLH is the better boxer with more experience and will win it with superior boxing ability.

I think that Vargas is over-hyped and will make careless mistakes that DLH will capitalize on. DLH has a VERY good chin and is very hard to knock down, so I don't think that Vargas' natural power advantage will be that bad for DLH.

I really hope that he does not turn it into a track meet like he did with Trinidad though... that was a travesty. I had DLH winning the fight, even with his running, but I was happy with the decision. You don't win a fight by running from your opponent... this is something that Vargas will not do.
