I've never heard that meaning before in my life...I have heard of jonesin' for something (e.g. love jones). Jone is one of my nicknames--my given name is Joni, and I *hate* being called Joan; but some of my HS friends say Jone and it's okay. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. I don't think so. I remember that being in the 1990's. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

It just reminds me of high school because I moved from Mpls. to S.F. when I was 16. I hadn't ever heard that term before because Midwestern people don't use it. I got to school there and everyone was saying it along with a bunch of other terms I had never heard. That, and back then people were saying "moted", as in, "Oh he was SO moted!" It's like, old slang or none at all. I still say it... 'cuz that's how I roll... | |
