What is jone?

Making fun of someone

mad I do not like this idea at all. hmph! I've never heard that meaning before in my life...I have heard of jonesin' for something (e.g. love jones). Jone is one of my nicknames--my given name is Joni, and I *hate* being called Joan; but some of my HS friends say Jone and it's okay.

I don't think so. I remember that being in the 1990's.

Mid 90s? When I was in middle school...maybe it's a DC thing?

People said that slang here too in Indiana and some people still saying it to this day.

lol It just reminds me of high school because I moved from Mpls. to S.F. when I was 16. I hadn't ever heard that term before because Midwestern people don't use it. lol I got to school there and everyone was saying it along with a bunch of other terms I had never heard.

That, and back then people were saying "moted", as in, "Oh he was SO moted!" (demoted) falloff

Problem is, I no longer watch any of the sort of TV where you pick up these things, and my friends are dorks, so I'm getting way behind on current slang. It's sad. It's like, old slang or none at all. lol
