i hate it when i go outside and can't take a deep breath without feeling my lungs crystalizing. actually, it's kind of cool the first time, then it gets annoying fast.

it's worse for me, since my nose is pierced. if i'm wearing one of my septum rings during cold weather, it's like i've got constant nasal drip because of the condensation build-up on it. i gotta carry around a hanky with me when i go out.

I've never experienced cold like that. I can't even imagine. I don't think I could take it. My lungs start to burn like hell if it's colder than 20 degrees.

Even with normal lungs, doesn't it HURT to breathe air that cold?

Yes. It does. It burns your nose and your lungs.

WHY IS THAT FOLLOWED BY A " lol "?!

It's NOT FUNNY!

Any place that stays below freezing during the day on any sort of regular basis is uninhabitable by humans, and you're insane. hmph!

The windchill is currently -25° F. This means frostbite happens within less than 15 minutes.

Wind Chill / Frostbite Guidelines

30° F or greater. Chilly. Generally unpleasant
15° F to 30° F Cold. Unpleasant.
0° F to -15° F Very cold. Very unpleasant
- 0° F to - 20° F Bitter cold. Frostbite possible
- 20° F to - 60° F Extremely cold. Frostbite likely. Outdoor activity becomes dangerous.
- 60° F or less Frigidly cold. Exposed flesh will freeze within 30 seconds.

It's only supposed to get worse here over the weekend.

Why do I live here? fit

i also hate how DRY my skin gets during this weather. i think i hate that worse than the cold! does anyone have any remedies for this? i mean, nivea is great, but unless i can dip my whole body in a vat of the stuff, it's not going to be much help. pout

i'm thinking maybe i won't bathe until it gets warmer. maybe i'll get nice and greasy.

If you're using bar soap, switch to a moisturizing body wash (<-- which is gayer than sucking cock, imho. . . like a little pride parade in the shower every morning).

Or, you know, move someplace with reasonable weather. Geezus. disbelief

i'm a neutrogena bitch.

neutrogena body oil when fresh out of the shower
and the body moisturizer is intense. if not intense enough for you use the body emulsion.

nod serious moisturizing.

mind you it's better if you have someone around to massage it in for you sigh

Seriously, though, you DO get used to it, in a way, I suppose. Life goes on, ya know.
I still get to complain about it every year. nana
This is colder than it's been the last few years here, so it's a bit unusual for it to get THIS cold.
