Don't get me wrong because the stuff they are talking about on this particular show is really good. It's good to hear ppl talk about individuality and not looking like everybody else and being happy with you. But to me, her crying and about it helps more than hurts. It makes her look like a hypocrite. I don't think she is one, but I believe in good debate Even if it's just to prove something small to some annoying ppl. Make sure that no one can poke holes in your story...period. You can say whatever you want, but ppl will believe what they want, especially today in a society that thinks it's cool to put ppl down and find reasons to be negative.

She's sensitive, her feelings were hurt, she wanted to use air time to set the record straight and highlight an issue that affects many young women. I don't see what's so offensive about it. And besides, if I were in her place I'd probably do the same. For the girls, and yes, head to head against all the fucking naysayers and haters simply because imo, they deserve it. They talked shit, she addressed it head on, now if they want to continue on with attacking her it says more about their character than it does hers.

You know, I'm only a few years older than Tyra, but I've edited her dias on different freelance European work projects over many years. It's a tough business, a sort of alternate reality that we live in where people are beyond brutal. I've been present in many meetings watching creative directors circle imperfections on her film and the film of countless other girls with a big red sharpie, before and after things have gone to press, worse than anything you could ever imagine on the show Nip Tuck. And I've been witnessing this since she was like, what 22? I'm happy that girlfriend's at a point where she can throw up her middle finger to anybody who wants to step to her and say 1. Stop w the Ruthlessness and 2. Sit and Spin.

The media is so out of control in terms of negativity these days. Maybe I'm the only one, but I say when a person's heart is in the right place, they should DAMN WELL use EVERY resource they have at their disposal in order to protect themselves, o shout their truth out to the world if they so feel like it. Hell, it|s not as there are others out there who want to help them do it.

This is exactly what I said in the other thread about Tyra. This is a calculated move to relate to more of her target audience. I didnt see the show today but I did see the previews. I wondered the same thing, "why are people sobbing?" They tried to dramatize this weight gain $hit to the nth degree. Its all for ratings. Its apart of the formula. She knows it and I know it too.
