Europeans, I need your help

I need help.

I'm trying to figure out the rail systems in England, Germany, Austria, and France. For all but England, it's my understanding that I can use the euro-rail global pass, and I'm covered.

But it doesn't appear that the Englad participates in the Eurorail system???

Here's what I'm looking for:

Cambridge, UK to Paris, France. Paris France to Bonn German, Bonn Germany to Salzburg Austria, Austria back to Paris, then back to Cambridge.

I have everything down except for the stuff that involves England.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

With only taking a handful of euro journeys and having to do separate trips from the UK anyway (cause the systems are different), single tickets may work better.
Also, if buying the singles if you book in advance you get much better rates than buying day-of.

Call a travel agent. For real. They'll be able to help you figure out if buying single tickets for each journey or a rail pass will be better.
If you've got time, a ferry from the UK may be an option It adds an entire day to your journey, but may be a LOT cheaper and it's kinda fun.

Sorry, I'm not European, I'm Scottish. Although I have been known to drink capiccino, wear berets and harbour deep rooted neo-fascist beliefs on occasion.

I think that you can get your Cambridge to Waterloo (London Eurostar to France) from this web site.

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

From Waterloo onwards you can get an inter-rail ticket for the rest of Europe from this web site: -

http://www.interrail.com/

You lucky so and so - all that Euro travelling.

check out Eurostar! If you're gonna do that much travelling, get the pass. It's pricey, but worth it. I hope you are giving yourself time to enjoy all the cities you are going to. That schedule looks pretty hairy!

What time of year are you going?
