COMPUTER ADVICE WANTED - YET AGAIN!!

I have a really weird problem!! Everything that requires sound on my computer works fine - Music(Mp3s, CDs, download playbacks, etc,), DVDS, online radio and TV and even voice messaging, they all work fine, no problem!!

The thing is, when I try 2 play any videos on YouTube, I just cant get any sound or anything, everything is just mute, even though I have the mute setting switched off!!

Can anyone tell me what is wrong and also what I can do 2 fix this problem!!??

Thanks!! lol lol lol

It's possible that your soundcard is being used by another program which is secretly running in the background.

Which media-playing program do you use?

Winamp, Quick Time, Windows Media Player, Real Player!! I have them all, but Winamp is the most used one!!

I use Media Player Classic for my DVDs as my DVDs wont play in any of the above Players!!

Is there a DVD in your tray at the minute? It doesn't have to be playing. Just being in situ could be causing a conflict.

All sound files? Could you try taking it out and leaving the tray empty - and then try YouTube?

What browser are you using? Do you have more than one browser installed? If so, does the problem occur when using either browser?
