i've been told i may have adhd. which maybe explains my short attention span shrug if i do it seems it has helped me more than hindered me when it comes to my spurts of energy when under pressure.

Yes, smiling and doing what you enjoy can definitely restore brain chemicals. It's one of the few good pieces of advice I got from my doctor.

Seratonin is your brain's natural response to stress, so if you are constantly stressing yourself out, or dwelling on misery, you body is constantly being depleted of the feel-good seratonin in order to compensate.

The more you feel good by yourself, the less you need to rely on your brain chemicals to get you through. That can help you to get to that higher default level, making it easier to respond to stressful situations.

and bananas, avocados, sour cream, sunshine...good stuff

did your doc mention exercise too? avocadoes drool

yeah, aerobic exercise(which I do anyway), sunshine, and things you like were his suggestions. Oh, and some Paxil, which led to three of the worst days of my life

But the natural remedies I took to heart.

It would be more fun to have people try to guess what disorders you have.

You're only 16? Oh man, please get off the org and do something else with your life. This place can give you mental disorders so I don't even dare to think what it'll do to you if you already have a few. Seriously.

HA...well im online alot. I'm homeschooled and I keep in touch with friends through my space...so yeah...

Have you always been homeschooled?
I was homeschooled since I was 13. I was diagnosed with borderline personality, bipolar and a few others by 5 differant doctors at 4 differant times,
Ok back to what I was trying to get at,
For me being homeschooled was more difficalt on my depression, which reflected on my work, (not that I would have gone to school anyway)but Do you find that you have simular problem with that?
Poppys, daisys life is crazy

Thank you both for caring and trying to help. hug

All of it good advice, except for the part about using smiles as a cause instead of an effect. It just doesn't work like that for me at least.

.

yeah hug cause you need to move to Australia nod
here smiling is commonplace!
