When you were conceived...

We would all like to think of ourselves as the outcome of true, unquestioned love between our parents. Because, surely, you couldn't have been the product of a mistake or an off-the-norm sexual act. No way. It must have been pure physical desire of the most sincere kind between two adults who needed nothing more than each other. It was indeed a successful session of good old-fashioned love-making, crowned by your birth nine months later.

... but what if you got your start during an S&M session? Or maybe your father donned a Darth Vader costume while your mother was dressed up as a lady ewok? Or maybe, I'm just subtly suggesting a few different alternatives here, your mother and father weren't the only people in the bed that night?

Okay, sorry for the visuals but it just makes you think how "sex" really has nothing do with the process of procreation anymore. It probably never did, from the very first moment they came up with a word for it. Yet we still would prefer to cling onto the wishes of utmost purity when thinking the circumstances of our own conception. At least just try to imagine all the terrible music they must have been playing in the background while at it.

falloff This is good. My parents definitely didn't conceive me during an S&M act. lol They're kinda prudish.....unless they were freaky before I was born. hmmm My parents were married for a few years before I was born, so I'd like to think that it was done out of love. Or maybe they were bored with each other and just wanted kids shrug Eww.....now you have thinking about them having sex. shake They are the last people on this planet I wanna think about when it comes to the topic of sex. lol

Oh...Mother is a Scorpio too...I was probably conceived on the threshold/doorway that day as my Father walked in, and while the door was still open.

I was a mistake. My mother did not want me. So much in fact, my name is not on my birth certificate.

I was thinking about this yesterday actually. I'm curious to know whether it effects you if your mum or dad were drunk or high while they conceived. Maybe we should set up an experiment with Whitney & Bobby and use Tom & Katie as the control. Or is that a bit Nazish? None of them are even Jewish, for Christ's (murdered) sake. And Whitney & Bobby are the most recent pop culture reference I can summon for matrimonial hedonism. I don't care, my polkadot shirt came back into fashion, so will my thoughts. Anyway, back to the point. Are Jews responsible for the world's evils? Just a question, not a statement.

I was the fourth child born, after my parents already had 3 boys. So I think they were pretty happy when I was born. shrug

My oldest brother died about a year and a half before I was born. I'm pretty certain my parents had me to fill the void left over by his absence, and I'm sure they didn't have anything weird going on at that time because of it.

It is true. She really didn't want any of us. She left my youngest sister at the hospital when she was born.

It's groovy, though. You grow up and become a better parent that your parents could have ever been. hug

You're incredible. I wish I could tell you, but language wasn't made for those types of expression. Unfortunate, as you really, really deserve to hear it.

Just like my father, she's the most remarkable example of how to break the cycle. Love her for that.
