If you are a fan of 24, I highly recommend Day Break...The High Octane Thriller Serial about a guy who is framed for a murder he did not commit and is living the same day over and over. During this day, his girl friend will be killed and his Sister and her family will be in jeapordy. He needs to find out who framed him and why as well as stopping the awful events from happening. Oh and to get to tomorrow.

Day Break is the crittically acclaimed show that was the mid season "replacement" for Lost. It is only 13 episodes long. Due to "low viewership", this series got yanked after 6 episodes. There are many speculations regarding why it didn't do good, however none of them have anything to do with the show, as it is well acted and scripted leaves you on the edge of your seat. When the series got pulled, many of the fans complained (mostly that ABC was being cowardly in that they couldn't run a 13 eps series without yanking it) and now all of the aired episodes are online as well as some new ones. ABC is basically putting the entire series online to watch.

Unfair comparisons to the movie "Ground Hog Day" have been made, thus turning many people who would like the show off to the premise. The only thing it has in common with the movie is that at 6:17 am the main character Brett Hopper wakes up. Each day is a little different. The phrase "for every decision, there is a consequence" plays very much into the psyche of the show. Probably the biggest difference is that if something happens to the main character, like getting shot, it carries over to the next day. He also gains new clues each day that get him closer to the answer. What also interesting is that slowly little things start to change. Did he get something right during the day?

If you were interested, or if you watched and missed episodes, you can watch them now. Seriously, it a really good show. It takes about 3 episodes to get the feel of the show, but it is so worth it. If you like 24, you will LOVE this show.

I told myself that if the show got a second wind and was aired somehow, I would try to recommend it to as many as I know. It that good.

I somehow feel responsible for ruining this thread.

I was sorry to see ABC hastily delete Daybreak from its programming back in December. It's a rivetting 12-13 week series, shoe-horned in where LOST was to have been. It was filler. GREAT FILLER I might add.

Daybreak had that 24 and Groundhog's Day feel to it. I know you say it, just have to repeat it. It is quite original and I always wonder why ABC likes to tinker with or just give up hope on a promising show like Daybreak or ALIAS, just because the storyline is convoluted and weird.

Weird is good. It keeps the interest high.

I am glad ABC came to their senses and brought it back, albiet online. I do not mind. That's the way to go. I do have to catch up since it started back up on Monday. I might watch those three new episodes tomorrow.

Now if NBC didn't do the same thing to Kidnapped, I would be on happy camper. Kidnapped had promise, and then hastily went the way of NBC.com, becoming the first network dot com series. I tried to catch a new episode, but NBC.com kept it week to week. Now Kidnapped is over and done with, and I was only four or five episodes in. Here's hoping I can get my hands on the DVD or through some other country that might air Kidnapped in its entirety.

I'm making a run for day break in earnest. I look forward to who actually killed Garza.

I didn't consider it to be filler. Though that's what it was advertised as. It also was advertised back to back with Deja Vu with Denzel Washington...another action flick with a GF in trouble, things happening over agian..etc. I am sure it confused a lot of people.

Again, I feel partly responsible for this thread turning out to be the shitball it is.

What can I do to make it better?
