Im in a directing class and ur assignment is to shoot at least 15 images of death.
my professor said try and be more open minded rather than showing dead people and cemetaries, etc.

anybody have any creative ideas?
its due next week, ill be glad to upload the finished product after its completed.

*side not- im note to make crazy, outrageous, funny movies that always get people talking,so im not afraid to push buttons!

hmmm, maybe an animal shelter, or follow police around on various reports, or a slaughterhouse, or do something with nature? (plants and trees dying), or do something with abandoned buildings/stores? Neighborhoods that have gone downhill, etc...

i thought of stuff like tom mentioned too. dead flowers, dead buildings, etc. death isn't always about people.

Wilting flower.
Dead tree.
A pic of your president.
Any kind of wood.
Driftwood.
A shell.
Some meat on a plate.
Try to incorporate a sign of McDonalds into that last one, maybe.

A New Orleans parade? They march with a band, right?
Or show different ways of grieving.
Singing Africans.
Mourning Americans.
You know; the spectrum.

I'd probably go for a "dead machine" theme and do all the 15 shots of old, busted up, rusted machinery of some sort. It can look very stylish with panels full of dust-covered buttons, pistons with dried up oil, cog wheels that barely connect anymore etc etc. The last breath of the modern-day beast, so to speak.
