I work for a lawyer and when I have to clean up his clutter on his desk I have not found any money yet

I would, but you'd likely get ripped off in the currency-conversion process. After factoring in the buy-sell spread and the commission, that's what always seems to happen when I exchange U.S. dollars for Canadian dollars and vice-versa.

Ah, for the days when I could get $1.57 Canadian for $1 American with no commission at Casino Windsor in Ontario....

Good question. Coins go in my piggy bank, and paper money (to the extent I use it -- I prefer Visa or American Express) goes in my wallet.

Further, I rarely have a $50 bill, because they're rather uncommon. If I have one, I either got it from a bank branch (as opposed to an ATM), or, less often, got it in change when spending a $100 bill. And I don't use hundreds often either.

I really have no idea how a $50 bill ended up on my desk. I guess that's why I was so happy to find it.
