PROCRASTINATION!! WHAT THE HELL......

You all know I'm interviewing next Monday for a job that I'm very excited about. Well. I'm supposed to know POWERPOINT AND EXCEL.(Thanks Phil!!!!) I've never ever used these programs. I've had them for over a month and I can't seem to get started on them. I bought the DUMMY series for both.

What do you do to get started on things. I really don't know what's wrong with me when it comes to this.

JUST DO IT!!!!!

I swear I'll start tomorrow.....

just open up the programs and goof around in them a little before using the dummy books. excel is kind of a tough nut to crack, but powerpoint is totally intuitive. if you know word, you know powerpoint. you just need to wrap your mind around what powerpoint is used for, and you're fine. i suck with numbers, so even though i've used excel for years, i'm still not great with it. maybe you're more inclined there than i am. good luck!

I never procrastinate.
But the again,
I'm a shut-in,
so there's nothing in my life that really requires my immediate attention.

nod

Yeah, anybody could sit down for 10 minutes and have Powerpoint figured out, but Excel is kind of a pain in the ass, so start with that (just in case you procrastinate a liiiiittle too long). smile

And while I'm hanging out on the org, I have a short paper due and a lab notebook that needs to be completely typed up and formatted and pretty for tomorrow, which I haven't started. I feel ya, M. lol

You're like me. Get everything done at the last minute....and then it comes out brilliant.

CO-what he just said. Powerpoint is easy. The nuances not-so-much.

If you have ever worked with tables in Word, you know a little how Excel works already. Actually I'd open the dummy book on that one.
