I really do miss it. sigh I've been here for 8 and a half years now, and it's time for a change. I just can't handle the back and forth thing forever. I always feel like I have no real home that way. I like it at first, but now I just feel so unstable.

Anyway, it's funny that all of us posting on this thread right now are basically talking about moving around to all of the same places. lol

I very well understand that! nod

lol I know funny huh? Although California is on my last nerve, I don't think I could take the dark days on end or the cold of the other options. Id be massively depressed I think.

A friend of mine who lived in Holland for just about 6 or 7 months, literally just left the country a few weeks ago one night at the last minute. lol She called me from Mpls. to say she was back in MN. Just like that. lol She couldn't handle it here, on many levels.

No it's not normal because most of us don't wash our cars when it gets cold. In fact most car washes close when it gets that cold.

I couldnt help but think while in San Francisco this last round, how much the vibe was like Minne. Heartbeatocean is also from Minne too...

It really is. nod I used to live in S.F. and my younger sister still does. She has a whole group of frineds there that she has met over the years, one by one just by chance, and they're all from Mpls. falloff I swear, tons of people have just picked up and started their own Mpls. community in S.F. lol And not intentionally either. We all just sort of run into each other while we're there. I've been out with my sister tons of times there, and we always end up meeting more people from Mpls.

But I love both cities equally. mushy I visit both frequently.

i lived there for a while. i was a little shocked by the high prices and lack of affordable housing, but the culture was cool. it's like dinkytown times one hundred

I haven't read all of these responses (too many!) but I have an automatic car starter and it's wonderful. You just have to remember to have your heat cranked the night before. I've never had any freezing issues after that.
