.....instead of his role in 'The Departed'?????


Don't get me wrong, I liked him in 'Blood Diamond' but in 'Departed' he was just so much better.....maybe also because it was a much better role....

As for 'Blood Diamond'.....good Tony Scott-movie, lots of action, quite and intruiging story, and Jennifer Connelly .....


What's your take? Was it the stupid accent DiCrappio did quite well???

I saw the Departed but not Blood Diamond because that stupid accent was getting on my nerves too much. I don't think he should have gotten nominated for The Departed because he overacted, in my honest opinion. If there is any justice, Forest Whitaker will win for best actor, Babel will win for best film and Scorsese will get a much overdue Oscar for best director.

I liked Leonardo more in 'Departed' than in this movie.....I don't think he overacted! I agree on your stance on 'Babel' & Scorsese.....and if there would have been some justice at all, the Academy wouldn't have overlooked Matt Damon for 'Departed' or 'The Good Shepherd'!!!!!
