CANDY-OH HOW I LOVE IT! (Dedicated 2 Willy Wonka) A new store opened in my neighborhood,"Fancy Foods" so of course I had to check it out today. I think most of the foods are imported from Russia,Poland and I'm not sure where else. I found the candy section within a minute and was intrigued by the candy wrappers. I've only tasted two pieces of the candy so far, Clumsy Bear(dark chocolate coated waffer) and the chocolate with Vodka. The Clumsy Bear was delicious and the Vodka was really strong!
If you have found any interesting candy in your local stores, post it here. Mr Wonka this thread is for you! [Edited 1/25/07 22:40pm] [Edited 1/25/07 22:41pm]

What a marvelous thread! Discovering new candies is a treat for each of the senses!
Thank you, 7kisses4U. What flavor is the candy on the bottom right of the last photograph - the one with the yellow label? I cannot make out what it says.

She and I have discussed a possible future barter involving Wonka bars, though she knows I would gladly send her some today if she would like me to!

Blow real candy bubbles and eat them! Edible candy Lego blocks! Disgust your friends and your mother! Enjoy this hard amber candy containing actual insects! For those of you whom enjoy playing doctor: Be good boys and girls and get a shot of candy from this 'hypodermic needle'... ...then use a chocolate band-aid to make it all better.

Ex-Moderator | I enjoy searching out foreign candies as well. I plan on doing some shopping at my fave Asian market this weekend (cause I want to find the green tea Kit Kat!) but I will likely pick out several things.
And I absolutely adore candy and junk food in general in the UK. I think maybe it's just the novelty of it, but you all know I'm a bit of a Cadbury whore. |

I've yet to try any Wonka chocolate or 'candy' but I think I will soon

They have things like canned mangosteens and rambutans and hello kitty cake mixes and molds and all sorts of fun candy. I try to stop in every few months or so. |

I've had a solid chocolate Wonka bar, not sure about the graham crakers one. ahhh they are not eggs exactly... but dried pieces of fruit covered in chocolate. (and it's tickleberry's but googling their UK counterpart is really not safe for work!! ) and if anyone knows of where i can find wonka chocolate in canada let me know but i'm sure willy will hook me up at some point i realized all my choices aren't very exotic. all england and her former colonies. i've bought stuff from my little asian grocery store but i haven't really enjoyed it a great deal

I use to pretend these were pearls! oopsy . [Edited 1/26/07 11:26am] I used to love those as a kid! When I would go to the baseball field to watch my brothers play, my parents would buy me one of those necklaces. I used to put it around my neck, then every once in a while put the necklace in my mouth and bite a piece of it off to eat. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

The Chocolate Band-Aid makes injuries fun!! I think I'll cut my finger on some paper and cry for a little bit and then eat one of those. Forget disgusting my friends and mother with that insect sucker...I'm a bit disgusted. Just say NO to INSECTS!

Stax, the Botan Rice candy looks interesting. If I ever see it,I'll try it!
Jbchavez, the Squirrel Nut Zippers look cool, the nuttier the better! Emm, OK I like choclate covered fruit. I've had some by Harry & David before, and I bet Tickleberry are good. I'll be careful if I google that name. I hope you get a Wonka Bar soon. I've had several of them a year or so ago when they had the ticket contest. Need I say I didn't find one! Ah well foiled once again! Sag, I remember eating candy necklaces when I was a child...well let correct that I'm still a child; when I was bit younger. Psych, did the necklace last the entire day or just the ballgame? Madartista,

Hi 7. The necklace lasted (I think) just through the ballgame. I ate the candies quickly because they tasted so good. I think the candies were kind of like a Sweet Tart, if I remember correctly. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
