I'm cooking bosc pears!

With a little cinnamon and sugar. drooling
I would have thrown in some brandy or lemon juice but I don't have any.

But it will be yummy anyway!

I don't think they'd travel well. But really you just peel and slice up the pear(s) in a small sauce pan, sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on (between layers of you're making several and not too much!), a little lemon juice and a bit of water (like a tablespoon). Bring it to boil, turn the heat down low and cover. Cook till tender. Allow to cool.

I got the recipe out of a book and they mentioned you can make ahead and put in the fridge, then when you're ready to serve later, bring to room temperature and serve with some marscapone. drooling
I haven't ever done that, but I mean to!

If Giada DeLaurentis got her hands on this recipe, you know she would try and put moscarpone cheese in there somewhere. If it was Ina Garten, she'd probabbly do toasted pine nuts, if it was Paula Deen, there'd be mayo in there somewhere.... ewww...
