GREY'S ANATOMY HOMOPHOBIA!!

I haven't seen anyone talking bout Isiah Washingon's recent denial and then apology for calling fellow actor TR Knight a faggot on the set a couple of months back.

Should ABC Fire him?

Thoughts, Opinions?

I want to know why he brought the subject back up at the Golden Globes during an interview?

The ease with which he said the word in denying he said the word was a bit weird. Plus two cast members say he said it.

But I don't think ABC should fire him unless he's actually harassing TR Knight and won't stop. If he said it, and later said he was sorry, and maybe even learned something, then why fire him? He didn't say it on the show or anything.

Oh John Mayer had the PERFECT response to this on his Blog. Have Issac Washington's character come out gay on the show.

Done. Done and Done. Poetic Justice.

Yeah I liked the idea of the Scissor Sisters outing him.

Yes, i just didn't know it was offensive.
Is that like the n word? Can gay people call themselves faggots but not allow straight people to do so?

I see it done all of the time, and I dislike the use of both words. I guess it just depends on who you are.....but neither word has ever come out of my mouth.

I love the show, and loved her character.

But after I saw punk'd it turned me off to her a bit.

She totally started talking about stabbing someone BEFORE she even knew she was being punk'd.

Crazy.

I think they're blowing it out of proportion. I've heard friends, family, coworkers, etc... make racist/homophobic knee jerk comments when they're fired up about something, that they later regret. People say stupid shit sometimes, but that doesn't define them. We never heard any other reports about him harassing the cast mates about their sexuality, just that one comment about him calling someone else a faggot. Seems like they're all ganging up on him to smear his name in the media, they should have just sat down and talked with him and explained they didn't appreciate it and move on. You don't learn to respect someone by getting your hand slapped every time you say something wrong.

I agree. I mean unless he's spray painting TR Knight's house with slurs and crank calling his house, then he should fired. Washington has apologized for something he is even denying he said in the first place, so i just wish they would let it go. All it's doing is making Washington more famously known as the black man who said the "F" word.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I think it was that the incident was over a few months ago and for some reason Issac decides to bring it up again...using the word. But when he brought it up again at the Golden Globes (for no reason), he ended up denying what was already confirmed. He should have let it be.

the fact that he used the word again was what seemed so odd to me, and a bad way to deny using it.

yes. Faggot refers to a bunch of stick used in a fire. The term Faggot and Flamer come from the period of time when gay people were burnt on the stake along side witches.

I never knew that. hmmm About where those terms came from I mean. I thought flamer came from the word flamboyant:

"marked by or given to strikingly elaborate or colorful display or behavior."

hmmm

personalmente, la palabra maricón no me ofende y mucho menos su equivalente en ingles wink pero supongo que siempre depende de la intención con que se diga.
